How To Diagnosis A Car

Eliminated in car this or that problem, in general, not difficult. And usually, relatively short-lived. This assertion, however, is valid only if three conditions are met: we know how, what and what to do. If the first two, as a rule, the problems will never occur, then the third is often a real stumbling block. First of all, it concerns the problems associated with the engine and various electronic systems, wherewith modern Cars stuffed, so to speak, on the roof. Thus, the correct identification of the causes of failures and malfunctions today came to the fore, which gives us the right to speak even of a new specialty in service station – diagnosis.

As mentioned options such as cine for the most part do not pass, in order to correctly and accurately identify the causes of trouble, need things much more complicated than your own sense of smell and hearing. The sharp increase in the number of CarEquipped with electronic fuel injection systems, has led to a noticeable increase in demand for services related to the technical condition diagnostics and repair of such Car.

In the first place especially careful diagnosis require Engine Management (OVC). Technical condition of the engine management system Car among the most important factors affecting the traction and speed indicators Car as a whole. Practical solution diagnosing the technical condition and repair COURT impossible without using special equipment, most of which are the measuring instruments. Can themselves on level ground to create all sorts of puzzles, then strained "pucker mind" in the search for answers and long torment of trying to solve the problem, what is a scan tool should be preferred. And you can go for simpler and more natural way. Just understand what equipment to diagnose engine and its systems exist today and what you can use them to learn. And also realize that to fully diagnose the engine needs a certain set of equipment. And realizing this, that make it a configuration that best fits one or another specific needs.

People get used to the computer very quickly and want him to accompany them everywhere. Today, if desired, can be computerized almost anywhere, even your own car.

Computer at home - the standard of modern life, the presence of a notebook or netbook for the average user - is not uncommon, but the phenomenon is called CarPC (computer in the car), because of its novelty, yet is exotic. Computerize your car and you can own, what will be discussed. In contrast to the on-board computers, embedded in expensive cars, homemade CarPC will cost an amount not exceeding the cost of top-end car audio Pioneer or Clarion.

Here are functions that can perform a computer in the car:

1 Plays all formats of audio and video,

2 satellite GPS-based navigation and location of the vehicle,

3 mobile internet

4 Diagnostics and tuning the engine without recourse to the automotive service

5 CCTV on the perimeter of the car.

How to save money on your auto insurance

Car insurances prices are increasing on the back of the credit crunch and are hitting drivers hard at a time when many can’t afford the extra expense. Unfortunately, more and more people are simply not getting auto insurance. This is foolish, and can result in financial ruin if an accident occurs.

However, there are ten simple ways to reduce the price of your auto insurance which moneysupermarket.com have come up with based on their vast experience with car insurance firms:

1. Work on a having a good driving history-Insurance companies are taking a risk on your driving habits. As such, if you have a good driving track record, then chances of you getting in a road accident (and ergo chances of the insurance company needing to make a payout) are slim. So, the better you drive the cheaper your insurance.
2. Cut down your mileage- Reducing the number of miles you travel will also reduce the price of your insurance. However, don’t go over the mileage you state as this will render your policy void if you have an accident after you pass the limit.
3. Know your credit score- Your credit score is one of the things an insurer takes into consideration when figuring out the auto insurance quote to give you. If your credit score is bad, this means your finances are not good, which means you’re a big risk for the insurance company, which in turn means you get a high car insurance rate. What a lot of people don’t realize is that there are often mistakes in one’s credit score! The best thing to do here is for you to know your credit score NOW and fix any erroneous entries by getting in touch with credit report companies to get these mistakes out and thus improve your credit score. In the end, a good credit score means cheaper insurance.
4. buy online- most auto insurance firms offer cheaper deals online than they in store or over the phone due to reduced admin costs.
5. Shop around- It’s easy to simply accept an offer from your current insurer. However, moneysupermarket.com believes that shopping around and getting quotes from different insurers can save the average driver $326 a year.
6. Read online reviews- The only danger with shopping around is that you don’t know what the customer service will be like from the new insurer. Therefore try visiting AutoInsuranceReviewer.com (AIR). AIR is third-party site where thousands of people just like you sign up and post their own personal reviews of car insurance providers they’ve dealt with.
7. Haggle for a deal- Nowadays, there are plenty of discounts that can be had on car insurance but they won’t simply be given to you. So go ahead and ask! More often than not if you inform them that you have been offered cheaper elsewhere but would prefer the level of service offer by them, they will lower their prices.
8. Take higher deductibles- If you can afford it, opt to pay a higher deductible (the amount you need to pay the auto insurance company before they pay any claims) than normal. It may be steep at the start but this means paying lower monthly premiums too, which in the long run means more savings for you. However, it is a risk as it will mean you are more at risk if you do have an accident.
9. Park safely- Where you car is parked during the day and at night will influence the amount you pay, and if your insurers are told your car is parked on a driveway or in a garage, they are inclined to reduce the price of your policy. However, if your car is damaged when parked on the road outside your house when you have stated on your policy that you park in a garage, expect to have problems when making a claim.
10. Fit an alarm- Fitting an approved alarm and/or immobiliser is another great way of reducing your insurance price as it reduces the chance of your car being stolen.

Tips to reduce the interest rate of a car loan

car loanAuto loans involve payments of interest rates. The interest rate is based on several factors such as the credit score, down payment, and the type of vehicle you buy. Higher interests are placed on loans by bad credit holders since lender view them as high-risk customers. In case your present car financing involves higher interests, you can reduce them using the tips below.

Review the terms and conditions included in your present loan contract. Determine whether there are penalties for prepayments mentioned in the agreement or not. In case there is, try to determine how much it would cost in the event that you pay the loan off early.

Most lenders charge percentage fees based on the amount you currently owe them. For example, the remaining amount of loan left unpaid is about $5,000 and the penalty for prepayment is 1%, you need to pay the $5,000 and the $50 for the penalty. This brings your payoff amount to $5,050.

Look for refinancing loans that could reduce your monthly payments and the interest rate. Knowing the prepayment penalty and the amount still unpaid from the current lender allows you to compare this with the payments involved in the new loan.

Comparing the rates involved in your current financing or car repair loans and the possible refinancing allows the selection of better loan terms. You can use online calculators to determine the payments you need to pay for the first and the second loan. Add up the prepayment penalty into the first loan and determine which of the two allows you to save money.

After comparing both loans, accept the best offer. Do not hesitate to switch lenders when refinancing brings you more savings. Apply for refinancing and as soon as it gets approved, allow the second lender to pay your current loan off. The second lender can also issue a check which you could use to close the previous loan.

By the time the first loan is paid off, you need to pay the monthly payments to the second lender. You also need to inform the auto insurer that handles the car about the present lien holder.

Toyota review more than a million cars in the United States

The hard times never end for Toyota, Akio Toyota may be looking forward to be completed this year, as has been the worst for the whole story of his car dealership. Toyota's problem is that 1.13 million vehicles must be reviewed by a problem in their engine 1ZZ-FE 1.8 liters mounted models from 2005 to 2008 Corolla and Matrix.
toyota car models
Apparently the big problem would be that the engine could stall due to a failure in the welds of a circuit used in the engine control module, which could lead to witness the lighting of warning, abrupt changes, or refusal to boot, and also that it could undo all the driving so difficult today.

To make matters worse luck and new Toyota car models have been three minor accidents, but related to this defect, for now the only recall has made the United States, but may be extended, as might happen in cars like the Avenis and Lotus Elise, which has the same engine.

When leasing a car is better than buying

I would like to start this article with a famous quote from oil baron Paul Getty "if it appreciates, buy it. If it depreciates, lease it". Many would say that is money management 101 or simply think it is common sense. So why buy a new car when you can lease it.

Mr. Getty's saying is a perfect fit for fleet managers and business owners alike who are building or renewing their fleets. In this article I'll point out key benefits to why leasing can be a real money saver from a business perspective.

When you buy a new car, be it privately or for a business, the minute you drive it off the forecourt it starts to depreciate, in other words you are loosing money the moment you drive your new car out of the garage you bought it from. This brings another subject into play, car depreciation, but that is content for another article.

Even though I won't discuss car depreciation in detail here, that is something you have to take for granted when leasing or contract hiring a car or a whole fleet. I recommend German cars as they depreciate far less than other brands. More on this later.

First of all let us understand the concepts of car leasing. The concepts of leasing a car are fairly simply, yet many business owners and fleet managers are often sceptical about it. First of all car leasing is not renting as many people mistakenly believe.

That said, leasing is a financial method, similar to a loan. When you lease a car you will be paying a set amount a month to purchase a new vehicle, but this vehicle won't be yours. At this point you might be asking yourself, what is the point in all this, paying for something that won't be mine?

If you asked yourself this question, I have to agree with you to a certain extent, but there other benefits that make car leasing more attractive than buying a new car. First, monthly payments are on average 30% to 60% cheaper than the ordinary car loan and there isn't the need for a huge upfront deposit. In general the majority of car leasing companies will only ask for a deposit of 3 monthly payments.

Second, you can renew your fleet every 2 to 4 years depending on your leasing contract. Not to mention that road taxes are usually included in the lease price and as they are brand new vehicles, warranty covers most of the maintenance costs.

Third, as afore mentioned maintenance costs are little to none specially because when you lease you will always have new car in hand and you do not need to worry about it breaking down unless it is a manufacturers problem. In those cases maintenance is also free of charge.

Fourth, no used car hassles, Lease and eliminate the headaches of trying to sell used cars. With leasing you simply return it to the leasing company and choose a new one. Imagine renewing your whole fleet of vehicles by simply ringing your leasing company and scheduling it, no hassles, no time off work hopping from dealer to dealer after the best deals.

As you can see there are countless benefits that make car leasing better than buying from a business standpoint. A recent study revealed that 20% to 25% of all new cars, trucks, SUVs, and vans are leased. In the premium segment numbers are even higher, approximately 75% of luxury cars purchased in the UK are leased.

Determining the lease price of a car

To determine the lease price of a given car, a series of factors are to be considered. First we have the initial purchase price, it is brand new, millage and condition are disregarded, if it is a used car these three factors are brought into the equation.

But the two most important factors that will influence your monthly payments are residual value and depreciation. Residual value is an estimate of the value a given vehicle will have when it reaches the end of the lease.

As afore mentioned depreciation has a great influence in the final price of your monthly payments. In short, it refers to the reduction in the car's value caused by age. Brand and model are closely related to depreciation, as some brand depreciate less than others.

Reason why I recommend German cars is their depreciation factor is way better than other brands like some Asian brands like KIA and Hyundai. For instance, you can lease an Audi for less than £240 a month, way less than what you will pay a loan on the same car.

Top 5 ways to modify your car

Having bought your new (or not so new) car, it's time to start thinking about adding a few modifications. I've put together a list of my favourite car modifications to give you a bit of inspiration.

1.

Window Tint

Now I'm not just putting window tint at the top of the list because we're the leading UK's supplier of pre cut car window tint kits (end shameless plug), I do truly believe that it is one of the cheapest and best ways to completely transform your car. Window tint looks good on any car, from a Fiesta to a Ferrari, and you can buy DIY tint kits for around £30. Make your car really stand out by going for a siver mirrored or coloured tint like the blue tint below.

2.

Alloy wheels

Have you ever seen a decent modified car running on standard steel wheels? No, me neither, and that's why I've put alloy wheels 2nd in our list. You're going to have to cut down on treats for the girlfriend for a few months though as alloy wheels (and the tyres you'll need on them) don't come cheap. Expect to pay anywhere from around £300 for a basic set with tyress. If you can't quite afford that, car wheel trims are a decent alternative and only a fraction of the price.

3.

Exhaust

You've got your car looking all nice, but you can't have it sounding like a shopping trolley. So next on our list of top modifications is a new exhaust. These range from just a back-box to give your car a bit of a growl, to a complete exhaust system to increase performance and give your car that sporty sound. Prices for exhaust back-boxes start at around £50.

4.

Lexus lights

It seemed at one point a few years ago, that every other car you passed had a set of Lexus lights fitted, looking pretty tacky in some cases to be fair. Together with other modifications I think they can definitely look nice, I personally prefer the Lexus lights with a darker backing (see image below) rather than the silver backed lights with looked a bit stuck on. Something else you could try if you don't want to fork out on a new set of lights is some tail light tinting spray; you'll definitely get a more unique look.

5.

Painted brake callipers

I drive a Skoda Octavia VRS, and one of the things I still like most about it is its green brake callipers (sad I know). This will only work if you've got a set of wide spoke alloys, but it will give your car that definite sporty look. Brake calliper paint is available as either a spray can or a pot of paint. You'll probably need to take your wheels off to apply it.

I put a 1000 hp Twin-Turbo Ferrari Enzo

Make some modification to a Ferrari is almost a sin for all those true lovers of the Italian brand, but there is a very challenging person which not only made small modifications to your Ferrari, but I play the 6-liter V12 to atmospheric Turbocharging bending and thus reach 1,000 hp.

twin turbo ferrari enzo

Thanks to this madness because it has become one of the world's fastest Ferraris, this car could mark an anthology speed record at Bonneville Speed Week.
You may think that this person is the worst, only to change his Ferrari to win careers, for this beautiful Italian model was not the best when it left the factory.

This is because the Twin Turbo Ferrari Enzo that we now see in his past life was destroyed by an accident that led to its owner more than four years in a rally in Utah, and even now is not the best in a matter of design and color we are pleased that at least alive.

ferrari enzo cars

Now the owner is determined to beat the Enzo in series, thus overcoming a 350 km / h which can have the original Ferrari. That will be a battle that we lose no doubt.

2011 Infiniti M35h

The 2011 Infiniti M35h also called the 'driver's hybrid' by the Japanese automaker, will hit the European market next year, and some of the steering and braking technologies on it are world's firsts.

The 2011 Infiniti M35h uses a 3.5-litre petrol V6 and a 68 PS (50 kW) electric motor for propulsion while power is put to the ground via a seven-speed automatic gearbox. Unfortunately the automaker did not specify any performance figures for its 2011 Infiniti M35h, but it did mention that this will be their most fuel efficient model in the M Line line-up, with the lowest CO2 footprint.

The steering on the 2011 Infiniti M35h uses an electro-hydraulic system with 'on-demand' assistance while the brakes (called the Electric Driven Intelligent Brake) are oriented at both performance as well as low CO2 emissions.

Extensive details regarding these two innovations are available in the press release below the jump, and Inifiniti said it will sell the M35h on all of their 34 world markets.

The 2011 Infiniti M35h price will get announced as the on-sale date approaches.

Inifiniti press release :

ROLLE, Switzerland (August 13, 2010) – The “driver’s hybrid” from Infiniti, the M35h, will introduce world-first steering and braking technologies when it goes on sale in the USA and Europe in 2011. The debut systems have been designed to deliver both environmental benefits and enhanced driving feel, reinforcing strengths already central to the Infiniti M35h with its innovative one motor/two clutch system.

Like the drivetrain, which marries a charismatic V6 petrol engine with 50 kW (68 PS) electric motor built in to the 7-speed automatic transmission, simplicity was a key tenet in the development of the steering and brakes of the high performance luxury sedan.

The steering of the Infiniti M35h is an electro-hydraulic system with“on-demand” assistance. It offers the advantages of both types of steering – the natural and smooth feel of hydraulic power steering and the improved fuel efficiency of an electric system – while the motor cuts in only when the wheel is turned, further boosting efficiency. The system is smaller than traditional power steering set-ups, a feat achieved by integrating multiple parts.

The brakes are similarly designed primarily to suit sports sedan buyers’ needs, but at the same time contributing to the lower carbon footprint of the M35h, low CO2 champion of Infiniti’s all-new M Line sedan line-up.

The engineers looked to the hybrid system itself for the solution. What they came up with – a way to use the vehicle’s electric drive motorto operate the brake cylinders – represents another world-first innovation for the Japanese brand.

The system is called Electric Driven Intelligent Brake. When the driver steps on the brake pedal, the necessary braking force is maintained while the hydraulic pressure of the friction brake is controlled to help maximize the energy regeneration of the hybrid motor.Because of its simple structure, in which the motor directly operates the brake cylinders, the Electric Driven Intelligent Brake system has the potential to be a key part of all future Infiniti Direct Response Hybrid vehicles.

The simplicity of these elegant mechanical solutions, with their emphasis on more compactness, lighter weight and fewer parts, is made possible by advanced computerized control.

Another benefit of both the new steering and braking systems is that they work with the innovative drivetrain to enhance the driving experience rather than dilute it in the manner of some hybrid vehicles. Designed to be fast and responsive with a strong sporting bias to the rear-wheel drive handling, the Infiniti M35h aims to deliver an exhilarating drive in all situations.

Central to this is its one motor/two clutch system. The first clutch is installed between the naturally-aspirated 3.5-litre V6 and the electric motor, which is embedded within the automatic transmission. Theelectronically controlled clutch allows the full decoupling of the V6 when the car is in electric drive and power regeneration modes. Decoupling the V6 reduces mechanical drag and boosts the efficiency of the electric motor.

Aided by an exceptionally fast charge/discharge response from the lithium-ion battery pack, the result is a hybrid that’s electrically powered for more of the time, and at higher speeds, than conventional hybrids.

Yet when the driver demands it the Infiniti M35h car models responds like a truehigh performance machine, offering the linear acceleration and unsullied rear-drive handling of a true Infiniti – complete with all the charisma of one of the great V6 petrol engines. Like the 7-speed Adaptive Shift Control (ASC) automatic transmission that blips the throttle on downchanges, the new braking and steering technologies are integral to the M35h’s positioning as the hybrid to please the most demanding of drivers.

Infiniti’s first hybrid, the M35h is the low CO2 star of the all-new M Line which also includes petrol and diesel models and which is the first M ever to be sold in all of Infiniti’s 34 world markets.

Among the Infiniti M’s many other claims to fame are the world-first Blind Spot Intervention (BSI), state-of-the-art Forest Air climate control and Active Noise Control, while comfort and luxury are taken care of with double-piston dampers and the availability of semi-aniline leather in the spacious cabin.

M35h sales start in spring 2011 car models, depending on market.

Get free online car insurance quotes to save money

If you have a car, then you should insure it to protect yourself from damages that might be caused as a result of an accident. You can buy car insurance from various sources. For buying a good policy, it’s important that you gather and compare quotes.

AmPmInsure: We make you Insurance Smart

Previously, if you wanted to receive a car insurance quote, you had to talk to an insurance agent and provide details about you and your vehicle. He would subsequently carry out a number of formalities and return to you with a quote after many days. Comparison shopping was a term that was typically uncommon. You had to visit many insurers to find the right policy for your needs. Now you don’t have to do it. Obtaining free insurance quotes online helps you save money and choose the most suitable policy.

How can you get free car insurance quotes online?

Given below are two principal techniques that you can follow to receive free auto insurance quotes from the Internet:
You can visit the websites of auto insurers and complete the online quote form with similar details
You can visit the website of a quote aggregator such as Cheapcarinsurance.com for collecting many quotes simultaneously

The first option would take more time and you wouldn’t always get the most affordable rate by visiting the website of an insurer. Using the second option is certainly more beneficial for you. You might be eligible for attractive discounts if you get quotes from an aggregator website.

Managing your information When you’re receiving quotes from different insurers, it might be hard to remember what you prefer about every insurer. You can prepare a basic spreadsheet and include names of the insurers you’re thinking about working with. You should subsequently make columns for comparing various elements such as:

1. The amount of collision or comprehensive coverage
2. Overall cost of the policy
3. Benefits and discounts
4. Additional coverage such as emergency roadside assistance. This would definitely help you find out the choicest auto insurer.

Why should you shop around for free auto insurance quotes?

1. Shopping for free car insurance quotes gives you the following benefits:
2. You can find out what a particular insurer is offering that others aren’t
3. The coverage and rates of various insurers can be compared
4. There are various outstanding discounts such as responsible driver or good student discounts from the reputed car insurers all over the country
5. You can save a lot of money

Auto insurance is an industry which is full of competition and every company is vying to get your business. Shopping around carefully for your quotes would help you get the right policy and save money.

Bugatti Veyron Super Sport fastest car on Top Gear track

In case you missed our post with the latest Top Gear episode that aired on July 25, here is the best part of it, in which the Stig takes the new supercar king and we're talking of-course about the new Bugatti Veyron Super Sport, for a lap around Top Gear's test track.

Previously, the 1001 HP version Bugatti Veyron managed to lap the Top Gear track in 1:18:3, which meant a number 4 spot on the show's leader-board, as cars like the Noble M600, Pagani Zonda F Convertible and Caterham R500 proved faster than it. With the Bugatti Veyron Super Sport however, it is a different story, as the 1,200 HP monster lapped the TG track in 1:16:8, proving itself as the fastest car ever driven by the Stig...so far.

Altima body kits - drive in style

car tuningThe family has been an important part of most person's lives. It has the closest bonds and often you share your greatest joys with the family. Yet it is perhaps that the family is all too important and one is so safe and careful about the family that products which are said to be great for a family to own, sound a bit dull. Just as a family car is not likely to send your pulse racing as a sporty coupe might.

On the other hand the family is a great source of strength and there is no reason why it cannot be associated with cutting edge exciting products. And if you take a great family car such as a Nissan Altima you can give it cutting edge exciting looks with the help of Altima body kits.

The latest Altima body kits will set your pulse racing and when you have installed them you will make the onlookers stop and stare at your car to their heart's content. Such is the dramatic effect of quality Altima body kits. Of course you have a wide range of options to choose from therefore it is not like buying the stock car where you have very limited choice of color and style.

car tuningYou can choose the material of the body kits, the style, the color and the components you wish to install. Such a wide choice means it is unlikely two people will do up their Altima car's in exactly the same way and each Altima car done up with Altima body kits will look unique and personalized. And since Altima is a family car you can take advantage of the large number of choices to be made and let the various family all give inputs. One person can choose the material, another the style a third the color and so on. The final result will be a genuine team effort and the car will be a family car in more ways than one.

You can choose the body kits conveniently by going online and when you have bought them make sure they are installed by a professional. You can see the latest Altima body kits at www.bodykits4me.com

Have a Car Diagnostics Yourself

insurance auto quoteOnce there is something goes wrong in your car, you may go to the repair shop and have a car diagnostics specialist take a look at it. However, it is costly. Do you want to tackle the problem yourself rather than take your car into the shop? If yes, then it is the site for you! Our site offers many auto products on car diagnostics. We strive to give you the most troubleshooting information as well.

Many years ago, tackling the problem yourself was a viable option if you knew your way around a car. But it is time consuming, sometimes it was a case of trial and error, checking and re-checking. Nowadays however, most cars have electronic control systems installed, you are able to check your car with a diagnostic tool, such as diagnostic connector and OBD-II code reader. In this way, you can clear out the OBD-II trouble codes in an easy way. Just follow the descriptions and do it step by step! You will finally be successful. Probably the greatest difference between car diagnostics before and car diagnostics today is that there are diagnostic technicians who are completely mobile now, saving the consumer, time, money and inconvenience

Even if there is no problem with your car, you might still need the services of a car diagnostic technician if, for example, you want to turn off the airbag facility, due to small babies, elderly or sick people being put at risk by trav
eling in a seat where a front-facing airbag is active. A car diagnostic technician can help you do this.
In some countries where extreme weather conditions prevail, it is worthwhile having a car diagnostic technician check over your car on a regular basis. In this way you can prevent potentially life-threatening problems from occurring.

The second unit offered on the Vauxhall Meriva diesel is the 1.7-litre CDTi that packs 130 PS and 300 Nm of torque, and in this case the minivan can return 54.3 mpg with CO2 emissions of 138g/Km. The 1.7-litre CDTi version Vauxhall Meriva diesel can sprint from 0 to 100 Km/h in 9.9 seconds, while its maximum speed is 121 mph.

The Vauxhall Meriva diesel price starts at 16,875 GBP for the Meriva S1.3 CDTi (75PS)

Vauxhall press release :

Luton–Vauxhall has completed the new Meriva’s diesel engine line up with the addition of two ultra-efficient units that together boost the range’s green credentials and offer yet more performance than before. This brings the total number of engines in the Meriva range to seven, comprising three petrol and four diesel units.

The first new addition is a 95PS 1.3 CDTi engine, which will power all Meriva ecoFLEX models. Featuring closed-loop combustion control, the1.3 CDTi (95PS) uses a variable geometry turbocharger and is mated to agearbox with taller ratios. As a result, the Meriva ecoFLEX’s emissionsdrop to 119g/km and it achieves fuel consumption on the combined cycle of 62.8mpg – a 9 per cent improvement over the 1.3 CDTi engine in the Meriva’s previous range. The 1.3 CDTi ecoFLEX joins the 1.3 CDTi (75PS),which was available from launch.

For those Meriva buyers after more performance, but who still requirethe efficiency and economy expected from a modern diesel, the new 1.7 CDTi (130PS) has all the answers. With up to 300Nm of torque available from 2000-2500rpm, the Meriva’s most powerful diesel takes just 9.9 seconds to accelerate from 0-62mph and will hit a top speed of 121mph.

But brisk performance hasn’t come at the expense of economy. ( Mitsubishi ASX ) On the combined cycle, the 1.7 CDTi (130PS) still achieves 54.3mpg and CO2emissions of just 138g/km, made possible by a comprehensive package of efficiency upgrades. A variable geometry turbocharger has been fitted with position feedback sensor for more precise control of boost pressure. In addition, a new intake manifold reduces weight and an electrically controlled variable swirl system optimises combustion.

All 1.7 CDTi (130PS) Merivas have six speed manual gearboxes as standard and provide a more performance-focused alternative to the existing 1.7 CDTi (100PS), which is available as standard with a six-speed automatic transmission. ( Alfa Romeo )

With its unique rear-hinged back doors (FlexDoors), FlexSpace seatingand FlexRail storage systems the new Vauxhall Meriva has raised the barin its class for accessibility, versatility and in-car stowage, while offering customers new levels of perceived quality and driveability in the compact MPV segment.

Get Higher Gas Mileage by Maintaining Your Car

Now every 3,000-Miles or Three Months which ever comes first take your car in to get it serviced: Go ahead and change your engine oil and have them do a complete check of all of your fluids plus your tire pressure to make sure that the other fluids are good and that the tire pressure is set prefect also just in case you have a nail or a problem then they will find it out at the mechanic shop, or if you work on your car yourself to make sure to do a complete check list on it.

Now oil and transmission Fluid are one of the main things for the car and the most expensive parts to be changed. So it is a good idea to make sure you keep your car maintained so that you will not have any problems in the future and to prevent expensive repairs when your car reaches a higher mileage.

Every Six Months: I would defiantly check my windshield wipers, since it is rubber the sun and smog will ware the rubber and it will not work properly. Or if you decide not to change it during the summer time defiantly change it when winter comes around because it will rain a lot and you don’t want to get stuck somewhere also you want to be safe and not get in an accident for something that will not cost you a lot. I do recommend that you change the wiper with the original ones from the dealer because they work the best, they last the longest, and they won’t make any noise or fall apart after so many months. The reason I say not to get aftermarket is because they will change the original wiper and put aftermarket on and then you will use it and later find out that it is not working that good.

You can also find really good articles and info on 104Inc or you can also go to 104Automotive.com or 10mechanic.com and more at 104Inc.com you can find anything you need in your daily life.

Now overall there are 3 factory services that should be done at certain mileage.

First one is a Minor Service done every 7,500 miles: This service is basically an oil change, rotate tires, ck all fluids, and ck the tire pressure. Usually the dealers or certain mechanic shops will also steam clean the engine so that it stays clean.

Second is an Intermediate Service done every 15,000 miles: this service has everything that the Minor Service has plus on certain models you would change the transmission fluid + Valve Cover Gaskets.

Third is a Major Service done every 30,000 miles. This has everything that the Intermediate Service has plus depending on the make and model of your car things will be different. But in general you would change the Distributor Cap & Rotor + Spark Plugs + Air Filter + Fuel Filter + Coolant Flush + Brake Fluid Flush.

Now basically this is a good overall procedure of what you would have to do to keep your car in tip top shape so that it runs at its best performance and you get the best gas mileage on the car. But the main thing is that the car will be reliable and won’t leave you stranded in the middle of no where.

How to get approved for a car loan without a credit check

If you are reading this article I assume you have previous experience regarding getting a car loan. Maybe you have applied to few big names and been rejected due to credit score. Maybe you even applied to few bad credit or subprime lenders but still been turned down due to a lack of credit, after all your frustrations you are ready to give up getting a new car. Just wait a second, there is an option for you if your credit score is really bad. There is few car loan providers located in the Toronto area who is willing to offer you no credit check car loans. These loans are funded privately, usually the dealerships or the owners themselves. No credit check required means no credit check required literally. The only requirement they will have is for a small amount of down payment usually less than $500.

If you are bumping into wall after wall trying to get approved the traditional way, maybe it is time for you to step back and take a good look at your financial and personal situation. If you need a vehicle badly enough for work or family, there is no other choice out there other than no credit check car loans. These loans are usually been lend out at a higher interest rate, but the plus side to the story is you can actually regain credit score through these loans. With good repayment history, your credit score can rise over time. And pretty soon you would be able to negotiate on terms such as the selling price of the vehicle or the annual interest rate and so on.

So the next time you are been turned down due to your credit history, don't give up your search yet. Just apply to a different loan source and you will be approved for a car loan without a credit check.

Renault Clio Cup vs Ford Focus RS500

In their latest comparison test, which this time involved two hot hatches, the Brits from Autocar have pitted the Renault Clio Cup against the Ford Focus RS500.

Both the Renault Clio Cup and the Ford Focus RS500 were driven on public roads and against the clock on the track, and the main idea was to see if Blue Oval's limited edition hatch deserves being twice as expensive as the French hatch.

As usual people's taste and value for cars are debatable, but in Autocar's conclusion the Renault Clio Cup is the ultimate hatch when you take value for money into account.

2011 Kia Sportage details

We have new details with the European designed 2011 Kia Sportage for which sales across UK are scheduled to begin on August 1.

Together with this new info, the car maker has also published two new 'spy photos' with the 2011 Kia Sportage wrapped in camouflage at the front and back, which could indicate a slight variation between the European version and the US model. Kia officials are saying that production for their new SUV will stat in the company's plant in Slovakia.

The 2011 Kia Sportage UK price will probably announced in the next couple of weeks, but we already know that in U.S. the car costs almost 22,000 USD.

Kia press release :

The new Kia Sportage, which goes on sale in August, is Kia’s latest European-designed model to have been specifically developed for the UK’sroads and drivers. Research & development experts from Kia Motors (UK) have been involved with the testing of the new Sportage, to be built at the Žilina plant in Slovakia, from the prototype stages in mainland Europe right up until final testing in the UK itself during theearly part of 2010.

“Being involved right from the early stages of prototype testing on project ‘SL’ (the internal codename for the new Sportage), in both dynamic and static performance testing, has meant that we
have been ableto ensure UK market needs have been incorporated throughout the development process” explains Neil Kent, Product Specialist, from Kia car Motors (UK).

kia sports cars

“Once we had completed testing for ride quality, steering and dynamics with our European colleagues, vehicles were then brought to theUK for final set-up, benchmarking and evaluation. UK testing is invaluable as it allows us to ensure we have the right levels of comfortand performance for the very specific road conditions we have here”, headded.

Kia engineers at the Korean firm’s Technical Centre in Rüsselsheim, Germany are confident the new Sportage will meet the demands of Europeancustomers as well as the challenging variety of roads they drive on.

Michael Lugert, Kia’s Steering & Suspension Development Manager explains: “When we benchmarked the leading competitors we found some offered comfort, others focused on agility. With Sportage we believe wehave balanced these two attributes well and created a Kia whose primaryfocus is on ride quality but maintains agility and good dynamics.”

Lugert continues: “The entire suspension set-up – springs, dampers, stabiliser bars and bushes – has been developed on European roads. We also worked with our tyre partners to select specific EU market compounds. The steering also had to have a ‘European feel’ – very natural with a linear torque build-up – so the electric steering has been adjusted to achieve this.” ( Artega GT Porsche )

Following in the footsteps of Soul, Venga and Sorento, the new Sportage will be the fourth consecutive new Kia to be launched which hasundergone development in the UK – Michael Cole, Managing Director for Kia Motors (UK) Limited, commented: “The United Kingdom is the largest market for Kia in Europe so great efforts are made to ensure that our new products not only look and feel ‘European’ but that they perform just as UK customers want them to. Sportage has been in the UK for overfifteen years – I’m convinced that the new generation’s striking designand great on-road ability will find favour with both our loyal existingcustomers and people who are new to the Kia brand.”

Artega GT Porsche challenger from the province

The Artega GT is these days a whole new German sports car at the start. Compact, lightweight and incredibly fresh, but he remembers the old virtues. With 220 kW/300 hp enters the 74,983-euro two-seater, inter alia, the Porsche Cayman. Everything is on the Artega GT new: the manufacturer, the location, production facilities and the concept.

sport cars

Artega brand name

The head of the project is Klaus Dieter Frers, a medium-sized entrepreneur who has founded over 20 years, the supply company Paragon. In the sleepy Westphalian Delbrück Frers is now building a sports car. He relies on the project not only to his own ability, but has been going on with everything together, which in recent years had rank, name and success.
The brand name Artega is about an invented word by Manfred Gotta - who has the beating of a car Opel Calibra or Porsche Cayenne missed a memorable name. Designed by Henrik Fisker, who formerly was with Aston Martin and BMW cars operate as a designer.

Incredibly compact

Wide, stocky, flat and incredibly compact - the Artega is as short as a golf and as wide as a Corvette. Only when one has seen him live is striking how large a Porsche 911 has become in recent years. Nevertheless, the GT offers space for two people and lots of luggage behind the driver and front passenger. The two Recaro sport seats fit just wonderfully, the small steering wheel is perfectly in the hand. We see excellent; forward over the short dash and the fender, behind the deep rear window.

porsche sport car

Individual handwriting

The instruments are a mix of old school and slanting the future, the classic speedo is taken from two TFT monitors with displays for fuel level, coolant and oil temperature as well as for the G-forces during acceleration and braking in the pliers. And so the Artega has enough individual style to divert attention from the mass production parts. Ignition, air nozzles and steering lever, for example, we already know from various Volkswagen models. The workmanship is high, because the GT or rattles rattles nothing. This is obviously not in the small batch production. Artega GT Cars Currently, a daily Artega built in the coming year will be 500 cars are produced.
3.6-liter V6 engine

The 3.6-liter V6 engine on the rear axle is not built themselves, but comes from Volkswagen. But what is started from the rear has awakened, with the Lower Draught VW Passat R36 nothing in common. The direct thumps at the first gas surge such that a Cayman would probably pale with envy. Artega Porsche sport car has tuned the engine and the exhaust itself and combined with a voiced exhaust. Still makes the GT - it stands for Grand Tourismo, so big touring car - its name and offers a decent long-distance comfort. The engine keeps pleasantly back at low speeds, the suspension absorbs the flat tire, despite a surprising number of shots. Only on bad roads it is rough.

With a length of 4.66 meters and a wheelbase of 2.70 meters of this Italian is not a giant, offers more of an average space in direct competition. But who buys an Alfa 159 for its available space?

For the individualists among motorists

Why reply to a question, if nobody does. The Alfa Romeo 159 is a four-door sedan (also available as a wagon), which addresses the individualists among motorists. Who wants to drive a BMW 3 Series or Audi A4, Alfa 159 has the first not on his shopping list. In any case, the offer of the Italian right: For 30 500 €, there is the Alfa 159 2.0 JTDM 16v Turismo (170 PS/125 kW). As usual with Alfa, various equipment pacts are offered, with whom you are always better than in a single order. Who wants it emphasizes the Alfa 159 sports have, which was to choose the sports package "ti" for prices 3,700 euros, send a powerful Brembo brakes, taut sport suspension, 18-inch alloy wheels, tailored sports seats and comfortable leather upholstery pleased. Powerful engine technology

Already celebrated in the Alfa 156, the first passenger car common rail turbo diesel in the world's premiere. With the Alfa 159, the Italians lead this powerful engine as efficient as technology continues consistently. Here, however, with even more momentum and more power at reduced fuel consumption: The common-rail diesel 2.0 JTDM 16V making 170 kW PS/125 and offers a maximum torque of 360 Nm at 1,750 rpm. He should be content with an average of 5.4 liters per 100 km (142 g / km CO2). The Alfa 159 2.0 JTDM 16V is to deal exclusively with a manual six-speed transmission, which fits well to the harsh nature of the diesel engine. The announced already by Alfa twin-clutch gearbox (called short TCT) will cease to exist in the 159th  It shall be the first new Giulietta reserved and should be here a technically very interesting combination.

The intelligent downsizing

Alfa Romeo is also reinforced with gasoline on the intelligent downsizing. A recent example: the direct-injection petrol 8.1 16V TBi (147 kW/200 hp), an equally powerful engines for the Alfa 159 The combination of direct injection and turbo-charging results in an increase in performance car combined with low consumption and emission levels. Alfa says that this four-cylinder engine combines the power level of a 3.0-liter naturally aspirated engine with the efficiency of a 1.8-liter engine. We will learn more, so it's available from late summer, the 1.8 TBi in the new Alfa Giulietta with tight PS/173 235 kW version Quadrifoglio Verde.

The Alfa logo with Dragon

One of the most beautiful and best-known brand in the automotive world - the emblem that adorns a century now since the vehicles of the Italian brand Alfa Romeo.

The round emblem with the words Alfa Romeo and a round button in the middle, the left shows a small red cross and the right a snake with a dragon head, devouring a united people, two traditional symbols of the Founding of Alfa (Anonima Lombarda Fabbrica Automobili) - namely, the Lombard capital Milan.

The red cross is from the city arms of Milan and is reminiscent of the standard of Lombard troops, who in 1095 led by Ottone Visconti, Lord of Invorio and Oleggio Castello, the first crusade took off. Five years after the return of the Crusaders, it was part of the emblem, in order to honor the military achievements of their knights.

Power, wisdom and power symbolizes the dragon snake. For a long time a snake was on a blue background after Lombard tradition for good luck and was used in the war standards.

You give a man devouring dragon head in the arms of the Visconti, the ruler of Milan, is the result of an imaginative "complementary" to the history of the Visconti-sex, which apparently was not quite so glamorous. Therefore, Matteo Visconti asked in 1295 to its Hofschreiber, create a "saga of the Visconti, which should be entsehen a connection between the Visconti family and the former inhabitants of the region. And so it came to the legend of the brave Lombards Hubertus, a supposed ancestor of Matteo Visconti, the surrounding land of a terrible dragon befreite. ( Alfa Romeo Juliet )

According to this legend, the heralds of the court created the dragon serpent with the body blow of the Lombard and the dragon, in the 14th Century the coat of arms of the Visconti was. 1910 she was part of the Alfa emblem with the words Alfa Milano and outside, which was separated by two Savoy knots.

When Nicola Romeo took over the Alfa, the lettering was replaced three years later by Alfa Alfa Romeo, and the ring in 1925 after the first World Cup victory by Alfa a laurel wreath. The two nodes Savoy simple wavy lines gave way in 1946 when Italy became Republic. And since 1971, the brand presents a stylized modernized with stroke and without the place name Milano. For with the opening of the new Alfa factory Pomigliano d'Arco near Naples Alfa stopped being a purely Lombard business.
